Wow, what a night! There were many surprises and we got the rare Picture-Director split. Despite winning Best Picture (Drama), 12 Years A Slave was overshadowed by American Hustle, the big winner with 3 awards on the Comedy/Musical side - Best Picture , Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress. This is a great boost for those 2 films ahead of a major awards week ahead. Check out the full list of winners below. I only predicted 7 out of the 14 (only 50%!), but I'm mostly happy with how it all went down.

Loved the opening monologue by Fey and Poehler. Glad 12 Years A Slave took top honors. Jennifer Lawrence seems to be unstoppable when it comes to major awards lately. I'm glad because I think she's a top actress.
ReplyDeleteFey and Poehler were ssoooo funny! I'm happy for both 12 Years A Slave and Gravity, they're both great films and the split makes sense. Not sure if I agree with JLaw winning again but I agree that she's a really good actress and here performance in American Hustle is very good.
