  1. Solid predictions! I almost went with Jennifer Lawrence, but she won last year, so that made me decide on Lupita Nyong'o. Could go either way, though.
20 Feet from Stardom seems like the safe bet, I really hope they honor Act of Killing, which I feel is a bit more groundbreaking.

  2. Some good choices here. Glad to see JLaw in winners list. But apparently I disagree with Best Picture, I went to Gravity, since it easily wins 5 technical categories and directing, so it's well supported throughout all branches.

    But we'll see.

  3. I'll be disappointed if Lawrence and 12 Years win and I think Gravity's cinematography win is unfair since it's pure CGI (I'd have 12 Years win here, actually), but I think you're spot on unless the Academy gets on lemmons... :P Great job, Shane!

  4. 12 Years a Slave is a good pick for Best Picture...I think it'll win but it's going to be interesting. Gravity and The Wolf of Wall Street are its closest contenders in my opinion.

I've love to see Nebraska get a couple of awards - best actor and best screenplay would be nice.

Gravity, I suspect, will win the most awards on the night - getting a few technical categories and maybe some of the top ones too.

  5. Nice picks. I love that you're predicting The Lone Ranger in M&H. I wonder if voters will go for it.
